A baby blanket of about 75 × 90 cm usually takes 5–7 balls. In super bulky yarn that size typically uses 350–450 m, and each 100 g ball of Softy Mega holds 70 m, so divide your pattern's metres by 70 and round up. A sofa throw needs far more, often 800–1,000 m, which works out at about 12–15 balls.

Can you make amigurumi with Alize Softy Mega?

Yes, it suits big, squashy plush toys and pillow pals rather than small figures, because each stitch is large. Crochet at the 10 mm end of the label range, or a size smaller, to keep the fabric dense.
